Just say NO to Sotomayor

Here qualifications seem to be as follows:

1. She is a hard left liberal.

2. She is a woman with a Spanish speaking background.

3. She seems to be a racist and sexist.

Seems like poor qualifications to me.

I wouldn't hire someone to pick up trash by the side of the road based on those qualifications.

Here is a good quote from the hearings:
"I want to state upfront, unequivocally and without doubt: I do not believe that any racial, ethnic or gender group has an advantage in sound judging. I do believe that every person has an equal opportunity to be a good and wise judge, regardless of their background or life experiences," Sotomayor declared.
What would you expect her to say? Of course she will claim that she was misunderstood or her comments were taken out of context. People are most honest about themselves when they think nobody is looking.

Here is a good one:
Democrats and Republicans alike spoke glowingly Monday about the 55-year-old appeals court judge's rise from public housing in the south Bronx to her judicial career.
Really!? Does anyone really care about that? I don't, except that being raised in a house paid for with my money in a large northeastern city indicates that she is probably liberal, which turns out to be true in this case.

Here is another of my favorite parts:
"I would hope every American is proud that a Hispanic woman has been nominated to sit on the Supreme Court," said Sen. Jon Kyl, R-Ariz.
I've never heard of this guy before but he sounds like an idiot to me. I don't give a rat's behind about the fact that a hispanic or "wise latina woman" has been nominated to sit on the Supreme Court.

I would be proud if the person nominated to sit on the Supreme Court had actually READ the United States Constitution.

The fact that she is taken seriously as a possible Supreme Court Justice shows how far this nation has descended.

I'm not sure that contacting the members of the Senate panel would have any impact on this. At least she is replacing another liberal.

I enjoyed listening to Senator Sessions question her, for the time I was able to listen. He wouldn't back off pointing out the inconsistencies between what she has repeatedly said in the past - and what she is proclaiming now in an effort to get confirmed. He used her own words against her.

He'll undoubtedly be labeled a racist and his questioning of her, which is the entire purpose of the hearings to begin with, will be characterized as "attacking" her.

It must be exhausting to be a Liberal Statist... always having to hide who you really are, and what you really think. Always having to worry that you might slip up and reveal what your agenda really is.
