A hero dad died last night saving his 6-year-old son from a speeding hit-and-run driver who left a trail of destruction on aBronx street after a fight with his wife at aChuck E. Cheese's restaurant, police said.
The heartless driver plowed intoMiguel Colon, 36, a split second after Colon pushed his son Sebastian out of harm's way, relatives said.
"The boy kept crying, 'Daddy! Daddy, what happened?'" said witnessSam Alhadis, 16, who works at a nearby deli.
Colon, a Bronx father of two, was still clutching his son's bicycle when the speeding driver's 2008 Infiniti slammed into him about 6 p.m. as he crossed the intersection of E.Gun Hill Road and Knapp St. inBaychester.
Hit-and-run driver Mark St. Pierre, 36, of the Bronx, was speeding at more than 60 miles an hour when he hit Colon, cops said.
At least a dozen other people suffered minor injuries as St. Pierre roared down the busy artery.
