So they don't want to control the "amount" of compensation, they want to control "the structure of compensation".

That is just a smoke screen. They want to control every aspect of commerce in the United States, but they know if they come out and say it then they will never be able to push this on us.

This is sort of like when the President says he doesn't want to take peoples personal weapons from them but rather he wants "reasonable controls" on them. "Reasonable controls" means "ban all guns" in case you didn't know.

What the President and congress want is "reasonable controls" on the salaries and benefits of all Americans, except themselves. They'll take whatever control they can get. The camel's nose under the edge of the tent is the salary and benefits for "rich, greedy" executives. As soon as they get that they will be back after the salary and benefits of what they will probably call "highly paid" workers, like doctors and lawyers, and of course small business owners. Then they will come for the engineers, and eventually everyone else.

Don't worry, they'll get around to controlling your salary and your benefits before long.
