I used to think that people were crazy when they talked about being forced to have the number of the beast on our foreheads or wrists. Now I'm not so sure. With this technology you don't need to have the number on you - because you are the number.
This is from a couple of weeks ago. I guess I'm a little slow.
From the article:
At a hearing by the Senate Judiciary Committee's Subcommittee on Immigration, Border Security and Citizenship, lawmakers from both parties expressed broad support Tuesday for strengthening the E-Verify online employment eligibility verification program with biometrics. Now the government wants to use stopping illegals as a reason to gather a biometric database on everyone in the nation. That is especially funny considering that the government has absolutely no intention of doing anything about illegal immigration. Who are they kidding? Would they actually do something like round up illegals and send them home? LOL.
More nonsense:
Rep. Luis Gutierrez, (D-Ill.), urged Congress to ignore "naysayers" opposed to biometric authentication. With adequate security, privacy protections and care, a biometric-based employment verification system is the "only hope" for dealing with illegal employment, he said.Ha ha. The government doesn't use the tools we have now to enforce the law. Why should we think that would change? For that matter there won't be any illegals if this President has his way.
A bigger question is this: Where in the Constitution is the government authorized to do this?
Oh, I forgot. The Constitution is just an old piece of paper that should be ignored.
