1000 banks to fail in the next two years - finally, a headline we can sink our teeth into

That's about 3 banks every two days for the next two years.

But don't worry. Everything is fine. The economy is recovering. Go pile up some more debt.

    While I was reading this, the radio news Gal was talking about rumors that the FDIC wallet may be coming up a bit short now - with all the insurance payouts for depositors at the failed banks.

    When asked if there was any reason for concern, the FDIC folks said "No, of course not. We've never had any problem funding in the past"...

    So, you're right. Everyone relax. I'm sure there's nothing at all to worry about. They told us so.
