A guy at the store wearing a U.S. Army Retired cap

He was parked next to our vehicle and was walking up to it as my better half was backing out of the parking space. I rolled the window down and said "Thanks for serving." He grinned and said that was ok.

I hope I made his day a little brighter.

    I'm sure you did. Veterans often feel like they're forgotten. It's nice when somebody takes some trouble to show them they are not.

    I think they know how the majority of people feel about those who serve. A little reminder once in a while helps to reinforce it.
